Seachem Flourish Excel is a bioavailable organic carbon source designed for planted aquariums. It provides aquatic plants with a readily available source of carbon and can be used either as an alternative to CO₂ injection or alongside a CO₂ system.

Flourish Excel is particularly useful for aquarists looking to support healthy plant growth without the equipment and complexity associated with CO₂ injection. It can also be used alongside CO₂ to provide additional carbon supplementation.

Directions

Initial dose / after a major water change:
Use 5ml, approximately 1 capful, per 40 litres or 10 US gallons of aquarium water.

Maintenance dose:
Use 5ml per 200 litres or 50 US gallons daily or every other day.

For smaller aquariums or more precise dosing, each cap thread is approximately 1ml.

Important Information

Flourish Excel is not an algicide, although some aquarists have observed reductions in certain types of algae when using the product. It should not be overdosed or used as a direct spot treatment, as this can damage plants. Certain sensitive plants, including Vallisneria and Anacharis, may be more susceptible to higher doses.

When used according to the manufacturer's directions, Flourish Excel is considered safe for fish.
