Ideal for popular species such as Apistogramma, Oscars, Rams, Angelfish, Crenicara and Geophagus, this mineral supplement helps provide the appropriate water conditions for cichlids originating from these regions.

American Cichlid Salt is designed to support the natural mineral balance of the aquarium without relying on ordinary rock salt.

Suitable For

South American Cichlids:
Apistogramma, Oscars, Rams, Angelfish, Crenicara, Geophagus and other South American cichlids.

Central American Cichlids:
Suitable for Central American cichlid aquariums when used at the recommended dosage.

Directions

Use when setting up an aquarium and when performing water changes.

For an established aquarium, calculate the dose based on the amount of water being changed, rather than the total aquarium volume.

It is best to dissolve the salt in freshwater before adding it to the aquarium.

For 110 litres (30 US gallons):

• South American Cichlids: 2.5g (approximately 1/2 teaspoon)
• Central American Cichlids: 1.25g (approximately 1/4 teaspoon)

Do not add salt when simply replacing water lost through evaporation, as the minerals remain in the aquarium water.
