NT Labs Pro-F Tadpole Food 6 Weeks+ 50g is specifically designed for tadpoles over six weeks old. Prior to this age, tadpoles are herbivorous, feeding on algae found in ponds. Once reaching six weeks, tadpoles transition to a carnivorous diet, consuming insect larvae, small insects, worms, and occasionally other tadpoles. This stage is particularly perilous for them in the wild.
Serving as a supplementary food source during this critical period, enhancing survival rates by complementing their natural scavenging and hunting behaviours. Besides native tadpoles, Pro-F Tadpole Food is also suitable for captive-bred exotic frog tadpoles, such as those of tree frogs and dart frogs.
This high-protein, 1mm sinking micro pellet features insect meal instead of fishmeal, offering a more natural protein source in a size that tadpoles can easily consume
