The Nano-Tech Clear Cube is a unique ionic media based from the crystalline mineral tourmaline, which helps to clarify aquarium water and combat algae growth by breaking down dissolved organic matter. Clear Cube is not an absorbent like granular activated carbon or GAC-- it clarifies water by dissolving and dissociating water molecules and DOM ionically. Because it does not function via absorption, you do not need to replace it frequently like you would carbon. It is a long-lasting and natural method of keeping your aquarium water crystal clear for a very long period of time, with the added benefit of combating nuisance bacteria and fungi with its natural anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties.
