Description

HabiStat Red Desert Sand is a natural base substrate, perfect for reptiles from true desert environments. Its fine, natural texture encourages digging, burrowing, and other instinctive behaviours, while creating an authentic desert look in any enclosure. 

Use it straight from the bag for a simple setup, or blend with other substrates to increase sand volume and create added interest and enrichment for your animals. 

Our substrates come fully hydrated and ready to use. Compact the bottom layer before adding a top layer to help maintain burrows and trap essential humidity in the lower levels. As the top layer dries, it it will trap in vital humidity throughout the bottom layers.

Tropical fish

I would recommend this pump

I purchased this pump to replace a Oase AquaMax Eco Premium pump which had stopped working. It came with a nice long cable and the pump looks solidly made. I connected the pipes up connected the power and all went well. The flow of water is comparable to my previous pump, it has been running for a couple of weeks without any issue. Hopefully it will last a good many years. I would certainly recommend this pump, and would highly recommend Swallows Aquatics.
