Fauna Marin ICP analyses provide you with all necessary dosage recommendations in addition to the measurement values. Besides the salts of major elements like calcium, magnesium, and carbonate hardness, we also offer a range of special trace elements whose function in marine aquariums is essential. Trace elements are, unlike major elements such as calcium, magnesium, or potassium, elements that are present in seawater in concentrations lower than 1 mg/l. These include copper, chromium, manganese, selenium, as well as iron, iodine, and zinc.

The function of trace elements can vary greatly. In the knowledge base on the Fauna Marin website, you will find an overview of the specific function of each element. Trace elements can be contained in many different substances and thus enter the aquarium water; however, their deficiency can cause significant problems in the aquarium despite their low required concentration in the water. Adequate supply of all important trace elements is therefore essential for a healthy reef aquarium.

Our single element solutions consist of the purest raw materials, which are manufactured with the appropriate organic or inorganic compounds depending on the function of the elements. For production and quality control, we use our coral farm and, of course, our own ICP laboratory.
