There is no need for hessian with these pots, as they have a unique fine mesh .
The open mesh design prevents great soil loss but also allows water to circulate through the soil, bringing essential oxygen and nutrients to the plant.

- Then apply a layer of shingle or stones on the surface of the soil, allowing an adequate gap for the plant's stem to grow through.
