It is indicated for species that in the wild consume a significant amount of fruits and seeds with a low to moderate content of fat (genera Amazona, Cacatua, Psittacula, Pionus…). The daily intake ranges from 5% to 8% of the animal’s body weight. Medium-sized species (for example blue-fronted amazons) consume between 20 g and 35 g. Ambient temperature greatly influences intake. Analytical constituents: Crude protein 21.5 %, Crude oils and fats 8.0%.
