MarinePure Gems are highly porous, inert and chemically stable biological filter media designed to increase biofiltration in marine and freshwater aquariums.

Beneficial bacteria naturally colonise surfaces, and the open porous structure of MarinePure Gems provides additional surface area for bacteria to grow and establish. This can help support biological filtration, nutrient management and reduce aquarium maintenance.

With an average size of 18–20mm, the Gems can be placed almost anywhere with good water flow, including sumps, filter chambers, overflows and All-In-One aquarium back chambers.
