Pond Planting Best Practices

1. Line the Basket: Line the inside of the Aquapot with a small square of hessian cloth or an aquatic basket liner to keep fine soil particles contained.

2. Add Soil: Fill the pot with a dense, specialized, low-nutrient aquatic compost.

3. Position the Plant: Set your aquatic plant or bulb firmly into the soil, leaving a small gap below the rim.

4. Anchor with Gravel: Top dress the soil with a 2cm layer of washed pond gravel or shingle. This stops pond fish from digging up the roots and keeps the pot anchored flat on the pond floor.
